1st Annual Wooden Spoon Event!!!

It was past due....
An event we've all been waiting to create....
A Necessity of Networking & Collaboration,
Advertising your skills creatively...
Encouraging others that our
chosen way of life is possible for them too.
To open up and explore...
Living and surviving as the Artisans of our civilization.
This is our Wooden Spoon....

The goal for this type of event is to essentially collaboratively share and celebrate the existence of art in all of our lives.

Our 1st Annual Wooden Spoon Event is going to be held @ EYEDRUM May 4, 2010 from 8pm-Midnight. The idea of the event is to have people from different forms of art to come together to collaborate and network through live demonstrations and participating activities. Each artist participating in the creation of the event will not only have samples of the capabilities of their art, but be actively creating/manifesting their art there with the aud ience. My goal is to have no bystanders at this event, everyone should potentially be creating something and collaborating with others.

I'm really excited about the enthusiasm from our artists! Artist...artisan...such a broad term...let me describe some of the activities at this event....
There will be a short film screening of several Atlanta based production company's work, A live music recording station, Shaolin Martial artists training, Unique photo-shoot sessions with photographers, Interactive video installments, Collaborative coloring and painting stations, free-spirit art activities, fire spinning and dancing for all, magicians, circus people, culinary arts taste testing, etc etc... The list will go on and on, I want to see how many different types of art I can squeeze in one building. ^_^
The admission is free, however we WILL have a raffle to raise money for EYEDRUM specifically since they have donated their amazing space for us.

I see bigger plans in the future....and I'm really excited
to see where this project will take everyone.

We have an assortment of flyers too haha... My cheesy ode to comic book series and one Scott McKibben designed.
